Clair obtains SOC 2 Type II certification, reinforcing its commitment to security and compliance

NEW YORK–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Clair, a New York-based financial technology company, today announced that Sensiba San Filippo LLP has certified Clair as a Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II compliant. This certification confirms that Clair has met the AICPA Trust Services criteria for security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity and confidentiality.

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 Information Security Standard is an audit report on the review of controls relating to categories of trust services criteria covering security, availability, integrity of processing, confidentiality and confidentiality. After announcing the successful SOC 2 Type I audit earlier this year, Clair has now passed the next level of security and compliance. While the SOC 2 Type I certification indicates that Clair was compliant at a specific point in time, the SOC 2 Type II certification confirms that Clair’s security and compliance controls have been effective for more than six months.

Nico Simko, CEO of Clair, said: “Our goal is that our partners and users never have to wonder if Clair is secure. Our business requires us to prioritize security and compliance, so we always want to meet or exceed industry standards for both as we become the most competitive on-demand payment provider in the market.

There are a number of states that are considering legislation or regulation of on-demand payment service providers. Since Clair does not charge employees for salary advances, Clair is confident that it will be able to meet the requirements of the laws and regulations being considered. This, together with its SOC 2 Type II certification, consolidates Clair as a leader in security and compliance in the pay-on-demand space.

The announcement comes during a period of strong growth for Clair, as the company recently announced partnerships with leading HR technology platforms. When I work and Work well, as well as a $ 15 million Series A funding round earlier this year.
