Lee’s MarketPlace opens new store in Richmond – Cache Valley Daily

The site of a future grocery story Lee’s MarketPlace at 150 North Highway 91 in Richmond.

RICHMOND – Tuesday, Leeit is Marketplace opened what will be the company’s eighth grocery store in Utah, its third in Cache Valley. The new store, which will be located at 150 North Highway 91, has been planned for years after the company planted a sign along the highway in a farmer’s field.

The anticipation of this store opening has had us all looking forwardsaid Jonathan Badger, owner and CEO of Leeit is Market. “Cache Valley is our home, and we’re excited to bring our friendly service, clean store, and fresh, quality produce to more of our family members up north.”

Not only will the new location appeal to residents of Richmond, but also residents of northern Cache Valley, including communities in Franklin County, Idaho.

Local officials who attended the groundbreaking included Richmond Mayor Paul Erickson, Members of Richmond City Council, Cache County Executive David Zook, Cache County Economic Developer Shawn Milne , along with Shari and Jonathan Badger, owner and CEO of Leeit is Market.

Leeit is Marketplace is a local, family-owned grocery store that has grown from its first store in 1981 to seven locations, including stores in Logan, Ogden, Smithfield, Heber, North Salt Lake, 4th West in downtown Salt Lake City, and Herriman (which opened earlier this year).

The grocery store will include a pharmacy, bakery, corner flower shop, fresh meats and cheeses, and other branded items.
