CLARION, PA (EYT) – A new clothing store will open in downtown Clarion on Saturday, September 10.

Morrison pursues the philosophy of Empower Beauty Salon and Spa, a company that believes in empowering the natural beauty of its customers.
“I figured since we had Empower Beauty, and making women feel good about their hair, why not just do the whole package and make them feel good, loved, and beautiful through clothes?” , explained Morrison.
Clarion’s newest business on Main Street, Main Street Couture located at 536 Main Street inside Empower Beauty, is having its grand opening on Saturday, September 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Not only is Main Street Couture a brick-and-mortar store, but it will also have a website to ship women’s accessories, apparel and shoes to more than 150 countries. The business and the website are launched at the same time.
Morrison’s target market is women aged 18-40 and will feature fashionable styles such as Uh-Huh and BOOHOO.
“I’ve been researching for a year and will carry the same brands as BUCKLE and ALTAR’d stores. These types of stores are exactly the clothes we’ll be carrying.”
Empower Beauty has grown since its debut in 2019 with two stylists to six stylists today. The 536 Main Street location has room to include and grow the new business.
Alyssa’s enthusiasm for growing her two businesses shines through when you talk to her, and she admits she’s fired up.
What excites her?
“I am constantly on the move. Like everything, I’m always moving forward. Like I’m always looking for the best thing to do or the next thing to do to help the community or whatever I think is going to take off.
When asked if her family is supportive, Alyssa replied, “Oh my God, yes. If it wasn’t for my husband Zachary, literally, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do. We have three children at home – Maverick, Memphis and Mattis – and without Zack it wouldn’t be possible.
She is also involved in the community through the Clarion Area Chamber, member of Clarion Young Professionals and other community related activities.
Asked about some of the lessons she’s learned running a business, she has two quick answers.
– “The hustle and bustle never sleeps.”
– “Business is not for the weak, that’s for sure.”

“Morrison, originally from Rimersburg, always knew she wanted to work with people and help them.
She thought nursing was her calling, but after further analysis she changed course in 2010, a decision that would change her life for the better.
The Union High School graduate left her path as a nurse and made an impact on people in the healthcare field by eventually becoming a licensed cosmetologist. The results paid off. She continued to gain experience in the industry, eventually starting her own company in 2019.
“Our business is different from many others,” she said. “We have a mission and we support it 110%. The goal is to empower women and enhance their natural female beauty. When you walk into our space, we want people to feel confident and like themselves.
“I’ve always wanted to end the stigma of having to be perfect; everyone was created perfectly by God, but we only make it better. When you walk into Empower Beauty, we want people to feel loved and powerful because they are.
“It’s a mission that everyone can take on because we all deserve to have confidence in who we are and what we can bring to the table, in ourselves.”
